”Being Mary Jane” will debut on BET early next year on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 10-11 p.m. ET/PT. The highly anticipated follow up to the network’s original hit movie ”Being Mary Jane” is drawing near. Over 4 million viewers tuned into the movie premiere of ”Being Mary Jane” in July 2013. “Being Mary Jane” will return as a series to the BET Black Entertainment Network. The new television series is actually a follow-up to the original movie “Being Mary J” that debuted on BET Networks earlier this summer. During June 2013 “Being Mary Jane” was aired as a pilot series waiting for BET executives to say yea or now and send the show, cast and crew out on his heels.
“Being Mary Jane” stars Gabrielle Union as a single and successful news anchor. Gabrielle’s character seems to have everything. She seems to have it all. She has a nice car, she’s smart and of course she owns her share of designer shoes. She also owns a big, beautiful housed, but seems to be missing one thing, a man to go with all of it.
The network’s first one-hour scripted drama focuses on the life of successful cable news anchor, Mary Jane Paul.
